Savannah Collector Acquires Two Palmer Paintings.

These Boots are Made for Walking

This is a rare fantasy piece by artist Gertrude Palmer that was created at the request of Studio 621 in Tallahassee, FL. The season was Halloween and it was to be scary in theme. Being a woman and past clothing designer, I thought I would address a scary moment in fashion history. Think Nancy Sinatra and white stretch vinyl boots, the essential accessory of the Chicago mini-skirt. This sexy bolero clad muse is being drawn along on the tail feathers of a "be-socked" swan, accompanied by an army of marching white boots.
